Congratulations to my precious wife, Patti.
She received her ministerial ordination from the Assemblies of God at our Network Summit in Wisconsin in April 2023.
I am so blessed to be her husband. Patti has been involved in ministry for 50 years. After accepting Jesus as her Savior at age 10 at Bible Camp in Northern Wisconsin, she always desired to follow Jesus and be in ministry. She began by playing piano in her home church at a young age. Continued in ministry at Bible College. Then traveled with an evangelistic team for 5 years as pianist and vocalist with the group “The Gospel Sounds”.
After leaving the group she landed in Oklahoma and traveled with another group for 2 years. That is where I (Wendell) met her. We became best friends and then realized the Lord was calling us to do ministry together as a married couple. Together we have worked in children’s and youth ministry and leading worship.
While I was in college, Patti was the main pianist at our church in Lake Wales, Florida. She worked very hard to put me through college working full-time, while at the same time carrying out her gifting in music ministry and being a Mom to our three kids.
After Bible College we moved to Dallas, WI where we served as assistant pastors. We then moved to Ontonagon, MI where I served as lead Pastor. Patti continued to serve in a variety of ministries.
And then we obeyed God and became full-time foreign missionaries serving in Belgium, Lithuania and Slovakia. Patti ministered to college students and women’s groups.
I am so very proud of my wife who has faithfully served the Lord with her giftings. I can say without any hesitation that the Lord has anointed Patti and it has been such a blessing to serve with her for these 40+ years.
